BACK TO THE WILD !
HISA PARTICIPATES IN THE REHABILITATION AND REINTRODUCTION OF WILD ANIMALS ON THEIR ORIGIN PLACES.
Wild species are on the decline and their habitats are constantly threatened. Today, wild mammals make up only 4% of mammals on our planet, the rest is represented by the human population (36% of the total) and livestock (60%) Similarly for birds, 30% are wild and free and 70% reared in cages for our consumption. These figures should alarm us about the reduction in natural spaces and the place we let for wild species. We control nature, shape landscapes and manage wildlife as suits us, damaging their integrity as species and individual.
Our association devotes itself to run projects of conservation for many wild species, in order to improve their conservation state and that of the ecosystems that host them.
he conservation of animal species requires a large number of measures. Rewilding is at the heart of the projects we set up or we support. These projects are carried out according to national and international rules. We work with private partners, scientists, researchers and determine their return to nature on a case-by-case basis, depending on the species and individuals. Decisions are made based on several criteria such as genetic, health, environment and anthropogenic for the candidates to the rewilding programs.
Beyond the ecological dimension, we bring an ethical dimension to our relationship with living things, based on our interconnection with the ecosystems on which we depend and of which we have the duty to take care.
ANIMALS
THAT WE PROTECT ARE VICTIMS OF:
-
poaching,
-
human / wildlife conflicts,
-
illegal trade,
-
destruction of their habitats,
-
abuse,
-
etc.
Our association seeks to promote the conservation of endangered species. We will always seek to rehabilitate and release animals that have lived in one way or another under human control, in the wild (when possible). These sheltered areas, under close surveillance, will always have to meet the specific needs of the animals.
